Mindhunters is a psychological thriller and crime drama set in the United States. Created by Joe Penhall, it is based on a crime book of 1995 titled “Mindhunters: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit” authored by John E. Douglas and Mark Olshaker. The first season was first aired on October 13th, 2017, and concluded with the second season on August 16th, 2019, with 19 episodes and a runtime of 37 to 73 minutes.

Mindhunters is based on the jobs of two FBI agents in the Behavioural Science Unit, Holden Ford (Jonathan Geoff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallary), who try to catch criminals by studying how they think. With the goal in mind, they develop modern serial-killer profiling. With the help of a professor of psychology, Wendy (Anna Torv), they try to solve pending cases.

The main characters of minehunters and Hannibal have one noticeable thing in common – they are both FBI profilers.

Made in 1991 and set in the United States, the silence of the lambs is a psychological horror movie directed by Jonathan Demme. It is based on a novel of 1988 of the same title authored by Thomas Harris. It was first aired in New York City on January 30th, 1991, then in the United States on February 14th, 1991, with a runtime of 118 minutes.

It follows the life of a young FBI trainee, Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster), who tries to capture a serial killer, Buffalo Bill (Ted Levine), who kills his female victims. To catch the killer, she goes to Hannibal Lecter(Anthony Hopkins), a recent psychiatrist and psychopathic and cannibalistic serial killer in prison, for advice and help.

The silence of the lambs won numerous awards like Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Adapted Screenplay. It is the only Best Picture winner widely considered a horror movie. Empire listed it as the 48th on the 500 greatest movies of all-time list. The American Film Institute ranked it the 5th greatest and most influential thriller movie, while Starling and Lecter were listed among the greatest film heroines and villains.

The television series focuses on the life of a forensic technician, Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall), who is a bloodstain pattern analyst in the Miami Metro Police department (fictional). Living a secret life with homicidal tendencies, he hunts and kills criminals who have escaped punishment one way or another.
